About Me

I am a primary teacher in Australia and have always worked with children. I started my teaching career in 2010; prior to this I was a teacher's assistant, director of a child care centre and an au pair for 3 beautiful children in the US.  I studied most of my teaching degree 'in service', which means I was able to work in real classrooms while completing my formal education. I also have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

I think the opportunity to 'learn on-the-job' may have influenced my teaching style. I am a big believer in hands-on learning and finding ways to make learning meaningful and relevant to students. You can read more about my personal teaching philosophy in my first blog post.
